Top Five Lists! DiCaprio Movies

Hey guys,

I am not available this weekend so I will post this list prior to the weekend so you guys can enjoy it! I will start off a little feature with actors and directors about their best movies and all that stuff, this will be only interrupted if a new top movie is hitting the theater that SCREAMS for a special edition!
So here we go with one of my favorite actor Leonardo DiCaprio, sadly never awarded with an Academy Award.

1. The Departed - Alright this list will of course open with the amazing picture that Martin Scorsese created and won him an Academy Award in 2006. Amazing picture about the weird and paradox life of a cop infiltrating the mafia and a mafia member infiltrating the cops, awesome performances by every cast member and one of my favorite films of the decade and probably overall! Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, Jack Nicholson, Vera Farmiga and Alec Baldwin. Directed by Martin Scorsese.

2. Inception - Academy Awards have also hitted this movie but no nomination for Leo on this one. Still this is a great movie with some stunning visuals and one of the best designed story inside a Sci-Fi world that I have ever seen. Just everything is tied together greatly and the suspense that is created and the mystery of the Leo character that is wooven into the story is just great! Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ken Watanabe. Directed by Christopher Nolan.

3. Shutter Island - Returning back to the Scorsese pics. And here we go with a great movie that is creating suspense and mystery and has an atmosphere and sound design to it, that I am still shocked that it hasn't scored a single nomination in the Academy Awards. The story of the Federal Marshall that comes to Shutter Island investigating the disappearance of a violant murder out of an Insane Asylum is great, the twist and the twist of the twist is awesome and the way you can interpret the ending in so many different ways is just an awesome achievement! Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Kingsley and Mark Ruffalo. Directed by Martin Scorsese.

4. catch me if you can - This picture based on the true story of Frank Abagnale Jr. is one of the more comedic takes that Leonardo has done in his career. This movie is an awesome "heist" movie that features not only just two great actors and a great director but also features a great story and humourous dialogues that are simply refreshing and enjoyable. Just a great watch! Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks. Directed by Steven Spielberg.

5. Gangs of New York - Ok it started with a Scorsese and I will end with a Scorsese. With the epic project that brought in a couple of nominations at the Academy Awards and it is one of the most underrated movies in the entire movie horizon.  The epic story of Gangs rivalring in New York with a lot of hate, blood and of course some love here! Great performances and a nice story. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Daniel Day-Lewis. Directed by Martin Scorsese.

And other notable mentions that I will throw at you before I go into an exciting weekend with football ONLY here you go :
Titanic, Aviator, Body of Lies, Blood Diamond and The Beach!
